OVERVIEW

This unit is intended for people who want to work in the private security industry and who require an SIA licence to practice. It covers the knowledge and understanding and/or skills for areas that are relevant to the role of a Door Supervisor.

An introduction to non-pain related physical intervention for door supervisors and the legal and professional implications of its use. It emphasises the importance of only using physical intervention as a last resort and reducing risk of harm when it is used.

COURSE CONTENT

• Understand physical interventions and the legal and professional implications of their use
• Understand how to reduce the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used
• Be able to use non-pain related physical skills to protect yourself and others from assault
• Be able to use non-pain related standing holding and escorting techniques, including non-restrictive and restrictive skills
• Understand good practice to follow after physical interventions

The Course is assessed by written examination and practical skills assessment.
Successful candidates are awarded an accredited certificate that is valid for 1 years after which it will need to be refreshed annually.
The fee's quoted for this course are "per person" for individuals attending our public/open courses or "Group" for training of up to 12 delegates delivered "in house" (at your venue)
