Please note there are slightly different entry criteria for each pathway which reflects the varying requirements of differing Higher Education degree programmes. For the Open Awards Diploma, GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above are required. Science GCSE at grade C or above is also required for this Health pathway.
The Health Science Professions pathway offers a route into Higher Education to train for a variety of health-related professions including midwifery and paediatric nursing.
The programme requires attendance for 13 hours a week. This includes one hour tutorial support. Level 3 students can combine evening with day-time study in some cases.
Subjects in the Health Care Professions Diploma include:
Human Biology – as a double subject providing 30 credits

Entry is determined by students existing qualifications or on completion of Access Level 2
