You will be studying towards an NVQ Level 3 in Civil Engineering for Technicians, Surveying Property and Maintenance and Built Environment and Design. The programme provides the basic knowledge and understanding of Electrotechnical Services practice, which will enable the Apprentice to become a qualified Electrician.

About this course
You will attend one day a week to undertake the College-based section of the training. The rest of the time will be spent learning on the job with the employer. Apprentices will build a portfolio of work and have on-site visits to observe their ability and skills in their daily role.

Course programme
The Apprenticeship scheme is divided into three levels, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships. The level of Apprenticeship you undertake will depend on previous experience, ability and the job role you're working in.
You will work towards a number of qualifications designed to help you achieve the skills you need to succeed in your chosen career.
Advanced Apprenticeship:
NVQ Level 3 in Surveying and Property Maintenance
There are a number of exams throughout the programme along with short Key Skills tests from which you may be exempt if you have the appropriate GCSEs.
A Training Advisor will work with you and your employer to review your progress throughout the Apprenticeship. Progress reports will be given to your employer by your tutors. Your full commitment to the Apprenticeship is essential. It is important you take ownership for your own learning by seeking out opportunities to gain new skills on the job with your employer. Tutors are on hand to guide and support you with your training and attendance at College sessions are essential.
