This programme will begin your development as a professional practitioner and you will have the opportunity to study units such as:

•   Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training

•   Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training

•   Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

Learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits to be awarded the TQUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF).

About this course




One evening a week for 12 weeks from 5pm until 9pm. The intensive programme is one week from 9am until 5pm over five days. Both programmes run at various times through the academic year.

Course programme

The TQUK Level 3 Award in Education & Training (QCF) is an introductory teaching qualification, which prepares learners for teaching or training in a wide range of contexts and will support your development as a professional practitioner. The qualification is suitable for individuals who wish to teach in the Further Education and Skills Sector. The qualification is for partly qualified teachers in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
TQUK Level 3 Award in Education & Training (QCF).
You will be introduced to, and learn through, a range of teaching and learning strategies, including whole class, group and paired activities as well as through lectures, presentations, independent study and workshops. Assessment will be carried out through the production of a portfolio of evidence and an observation of your micro-teaching session(s) by one of your tutors.
