Course Content

This qualification is ideal for anyone who is a junior therapist wishing to further their career in beauty therapy. This is a highly practical qualification providing the skills and knowledge required to work in the industry.

Students are expected to attend college three to four days a week from September until the end of June. This may involve being in college until 8.30pm one evening per week or 2.30pm on a Saturday.

You will have one hour tutorial once a week and three hours E Learning per week.

Students who did not achieve a grade C GCSE in English Language and Maths will study and re- sit these qualifications.

You will also have the opportunity to be involved in competitions and additional industry related workshops.

• Monitor and maintain health and safety practice

• Promote and sell products and services to clients

• Consulting and advising clients on treatments

• Body massage

• Facial & body electrotherapy

• Microdermabrasion

• Applying skin tanning

• Apply micro-dermabrasion techniques

Entry Requirements

Level ?2 qualification, NVQ Level 2 or VRQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy plus GCSE grade C in English

Possible Progression

Higher Education, employment or NVQ L3 Diploma in Nail Services
