Course content

The qualification contains the following units:

1. The professional framework of the counsellor.

2. The counselling relationship.

3. Client diversity.

4. The service user-centred approach.

5. Personal awareness in counselling.

6. Theoretical concepts and application to skills use.

7. Supervision and self reflection.

Additionality

All learners at West Herts College take part in an initial assessment in order for us to help them succeed on their chosen course.

Please bring with you a notebook and pen.

You will need your Student ID card, Learning Agreement and Invoice.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.

Assessment

Tutor observation, weekly journal, essay presentation and case study, peer feedback, assessment of course work and exam (video and feedback sheet).

Progression

Please speak to the course tutor, can lead to a level 4 Diploma Course.

Payment options: UK/EU Fee : £446.00 Overseas Fee : £752.00 Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
