The course also prepares students for professional registration. Experienced and qualified intelligence practitioners should consider direct-entry for professional registration without undertaking the GSC.

The GSC is unique in terms of its concept and delivery. Unlike other similar qualifications based on police or military equivalents, intelligence skills developed at the Institute are designed to be applied throughout various working environments in the public and private sector alike. As a programme of intense study, developing cross-sector skills in covert operations the GSC is the first of its kind. Not only does the programme deliver actionable knowledge applicable to various environments from academia to NGOs, it entitles graduates to professional registration with all the benefits thereto.
