About this course

Applicants must hold a recognised Anatomy, Physiology and Massage VTCT Diploma. The certificate must be shown at reception when enrolling. If this is not possible the applicant must contact the Beauty Department. (A recognised nursing qualification is not necessarily sufficient). It is essential that prospective students have a good command of written and spoken english.

Students will qualify in Reflexology with the skills to perform to a professional standard.

The above course will appeal to beauty therapists, members of the caring profession- nurses, midwives, medical auxiliaries, practitioners in industries and people wanting to develop a new career in complementary therapies.
Students will qualify as professional Reflexologists equipped with the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to perform reflexology to a professional standard.
A recognised diploma is acquired enabling the student to work in health/beauty areas, adding to their existing qualifications.

Materials:
Students are required to purchase a text book.

Uniforms;
It is essential that a suitable white tunic uniform top with navy trousers and shoes.
Please do not purchase specialist materials/uniforms before the first session.

VTCT - VOCATIONAL TRAINING CHARITABLE TRUST

Note: Units VR02 AND VR74 ( Health and Safety) will need to be taken if you have not achieved them previously within three years of completing this qualification.

How will you be assessed?
A range of assessment methods will be used including: Observation of practical skills - Oral questioning and written evidence. Plus an external multiple choice paper. Continual assessment is carried out by an external verifier/tutor.
30 case studies (6 clients to be treated 5 times each)

Is there an examination fee?
The course fee includes the examination fee.
Students must be 18 years or over on examination date.
For assessment purposes at least

80% attendance is required.
