Level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (City & Guilds 6187)

The qualification requires a candidate to demonstrate an advanced level of competence on complex refrigeration or air conditioning systems. This is the Level 3 QCF in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning City & Guilds 6187 and has 4 pathways; of which, one must be chosen from the list below: 1. Refrigeration Service and Maintenance 2. Refrigeration Installation 3. Air Conditioning Service and Maintenance 4. Air Conditioning InstallationThe days are split in to 3 sessions starting at 9am. The candidates will study theory over 2 sessions until 4pm; this will then be followed by an evening practical session from 4.30 - 7.30pm. You will be assessed on areas of service, maintenance or installation of complex refrigeration or air conditioning systems. Candidates will build a portfolio of work based evidence, and be visited on-site at least twice to demonstrate competence. The NVQ is about demonstrating the correct level of competence to your workplace and assessor.
