The Government have identified that 40% of 16 year olds leave school without maths and English at GCSE grade C or above. Therefore as part of your learning programme you will also work towards GCSE English/maths if you have not already achieved a C or above. This could involve starting at functional skills and working up towards building the skills needed to achieve GCSE. You will attend weekly sessions to enable you to progress with your levels of English and maths. These can be anything from 1 ½ hours to 6 hours of learning on top of your IT qualification.
