(This framework has three routes):
- Level 3 Professional Cookery NVQ (Preparation and Cooking)
Candidates are required to complete 16 units in total (3 mandatory units plus 13 other units).
- To achieve a Level 3 Professional Cookery NVQ (Patisserie and Confectionery) Candidates are required to complete 12 units in total (3 mandatory units plus 9 other units).
- To achieve a Level 3 Professional Cookery NVQ (General) Candidates are required to complete 16 units in total (3 mandatory units plus 13 optional units).
A NVQ Level 3 takes approximately 1 to 2 years to complete.
This qualification can be obtained as a single NVQ or as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship.
