Personal Trainer Certificate Introduction:

A career in personal training is rewarding and flexible. It gives you opportunities to work with many levels of skill and aptitude and you’ll help people reach a wide variety of goals from sports conditioning to weight management.

The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary.

How will you learn on the Personal Trainer Course:

Learners can do a blended or online learning option of study. The course duration is expected to last 2-4 months.

All Learner are supported with:

E-learning
Tutor phone and e-mail support
Workshop Days

Learners can attend 3 or 8 workshop day structures to achieve this Certificate. This must be stated at the time of booking. E-learning is a compulsory part of this training programme.

Learners can opt to attend weekend or weekday workshop days to suit their lifestyle and responsibilities.

NB: Students are required to bring a participant to assessment day.

How can I pay for my Personal Trainer Course:

Learners may pay in full via Cheque or Card.
Alternatively a 30% deposit can be paid and you will be given access to your e-learning resources and a tutor will contact you.

The remaining balance can be paid via:
Monthly standing orders
Settled balance 4 weeks prior to the start of the workshop days

Personal Trainer Certificiate qualification structure and assessment:

This qualification comprises of 7 mandatory units -

The following 3 units have already been achieved at Level 2

Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
Principles of exercise, fitness and health
The following four units conclude the Certificate in Personal Training:

Unit 1: Anatomy and physiology for exercise and health assessment:

Multiple-choice theory paper set by the awarding body - 70% pass mark

Unit 2: Applying the principles of nutrition and physical activity assessment:

Multiple-choice theory paper set by the awarding body - 70% pass mark

Unit 3: Programming Personal Training assessments and

Unit 4: Delivering Personal Training Sessions assessments:

Observation by assessor of ability to carry out fitness assessments on client
Case study and Viva
Programme delivery under assessor observation
Overview of 12 Week Programme
