Course Content

Our motor vehicle courses provide a mixture of both practical activities and lectures, with the greater emphasis being placed on the practical. All learning will take place in our NEW Technology Centre with classes taught by tutors with industry experience.

Topics on this course include:

• Using hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches, socket sets, screw drivers)
• Using specialised diagnostic equipment
• Removing and replacing motor vehicle components and parts
• Diagnose and rectify faults

Entry Requirements

BTEC Level 2 qualification, NVQ Level 2 or VRQ Level 2

Possible Progression

Employment/VCQ Level 3 (conversion course, day release/part time) - alongside employment in the motor industry as an Apprentice
