The awarding body for the Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Computing and Systems Development is Pearson and Highbury College is the provider of the programme of study.
Teaching: Lectures, workshops, online learning and weekly tutorials.
Independent study: You will need to undertake significant independent study outside of taught sessions. For every 1 taught hour students should spend at least 2 hours studying independently away from College, equating to at least 8 hours per week. The Networking Technologies and Network Security units are delivered on a self-study basis with online support and require significant independent study.
Achievement: The Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma is achieved by passing all units (120 credits).
Assessment methods: Assessment is on a continuous basis with up to two assignments in each unit. Assessment is via coursework which takes a variety of forms including written reports, presentations, portfolios and written reflections.
Staff: Full-time, part-time and associate lecturers (corporate associates) may teach on the HNC Computing and Systems Development programme. Staff teaching on the programme have a variety of commercial/industrial and/or teaching experience.
