Suitable for: Practising 'middle' managers with sufficient background experience and knowledge, preferably gained at level 3. Middle managers have substantial responsibilities for others, possibly having a number of team leaders or first-line managers reporting to them. They will be accountable for the performance of all those they control. They are likely to engage in negotiations, project management and be responsible for recruitment and discipline. They have a wide freedom to act or take decisions and the ability to make some changes without reference to others.

About this course

It is essential to be in a management role to undertake this qualification. Assignments are work based so employer support is needed to gain the opportunity to undertake management tasks for assignment purposes. At least three years management experience is essential.

No formal qualifications are required, but a reasonable level of general education is required for this course which involves reading learning materials and the completion of written assignments to a good standard of business English.
