Biology is one of the most popular A-Level courses in the UK. Biology is essentially the science of life. Its broadness is also really quite magnificent – encompassing ecology, microbiology, molecular biology, botany, zoology & anatomy.
Biology is of course essential study for anyone interested in a career in medicine, microbiology, veterinary sciences and many other very popular fields of work. Equally, though, its standing as a strongly academic subject commands great respect from any university admissions tutor and it will no doubt boost your chances of a place at many further education institutions both in the UK and globally.

Practical Endorsement : 9BIO/04
The new A-Level gives students the opportunity to try out various techniques and apparatus in the practical investigation of biological concepts.
Throughtout the course there are 16 core practicals of which at least 12 must be completed and successfully assessed in order to receive the practical endorsement, a measure of competency in practical skills. The A-Level can now be reported as a “Grade with practical endorsement” or a “Grade without practical endorsement.”
This part of the course DOES NOT impact on the final A-Level grade, but omitting this element may lead to being rejected by universities – students will have to check with their chosen or desired universities the ramifications of an A-Level without practical endorsement.
Course Fees
The enrolment fee for the A' Level Biology 2015 (Edexcel) home study course is £393.75, though for a limited time we are offering you the opportunity to pay only £315 which is a 20% discount if you enrol online and pay in full.
You can also opt for our Easy Payment Plan and enrol online today by paying a deposit of £78.75 and then 4 equal payments of £78.75 per month. The first instalment is paid about a month after you receive your course.
Additional information
Additionally, as a level 3 qualification, completion of an A level course also allows for direct entry onto our BTEC HND courses.
Our A levels are eligible for UCAS points, making them a great choice for students aiming to progress to University. UCAS points are awarded according to the grade earned.
A levels are also widely recognised by employers and are useful for students looking to progress their careers or meet requirements for promotion.
