This course will help you develop the relevant skills and  knowledge needed to apply for  a career in the uniformed public services, such as the police or fire and rescue service, and the armed forces, such as the Army or Royal Air Force. The nature of the units means that the course is also suitable for people in a range of other job roles who are looking to move into a supervisory or management role or simply as a personal challenge. After completing your higher national certificate, there is the option to top up to a BTEC Level Five Higher National Diploma.

A Level Three BTEC Extended Diploma in Public Services or a related level three qualification A Level Three Access to Higher Education Diploma Related work experience However, all applicants will be judged on an individual basis based on personal skills, backgrounds and future career aspirations.

You will be assessed in a variety of ways, including written assignments, work-based assignments, work experience, practical assessment, portfolio development and presentations.

It will be delivered through a mixture of workshops, taught sessions, lectures, independant learning and work-based assessment.
