The Training Group offers a wide choice of courses in a range of subjects, from practical skills, health and safety, supervisor or team leader and management training.

In January 2010 we are launching the Hard Landscape Specialist Apprentice Scheme. This will be open for anyone working within the Hard Landscape Sector over the age of 17 (no upper age limit).The Scheme will consist of 30 days of off the job training over the first 18 months, with the last 6 months being used for the NVQ Level 2 Assessments. Trainees are registered with CSCS when the Course starts so they are eligible for the CSCS Red Trainees Card, and then if they successfully complete the apprenticeship they will qualify for the CSCS Blue Skills Card.

Hard Landscape Training Group was set up by a Committee formed by CITB ConstructionSkills and made up of Hard Landscape Contractors, Interlay, Interpave and BALI, who recognised that the hard landscape sector required access to short off the job, practical upskilling courses.

Hard Landscape Apprentice SchemeShort hard landscape courses run over 1 or 2 days to upskill the hard landscape Sector companies and their staff.ROLO Health & Safety Courses for Landscapers who only undertake SOFT Landscape work on CSCS registered sites. The ROLO Scheme will enable you to attain the CSCS External Landscape Operatives Card - but note - this route is for Soft Landscapers or installers of show gardens on construction sites.
