Level Two NVQ Diploma in Bricklaying

Level two programmes are usually one academic year long (36 weeks) but it is possible to study individual units. The structure consists of five mandatory units and four additional units.

These include:

• Conform to general workplace safety
• Conform to efficient work practices
• Move and handle resources
• Erect masonry structures
• Set out masonry structures
• Lay domestic drainage

The programme is assessed by a range of methods which may include projects, assignments and oral questioning. There is also a written test for each unit. There are opportunities to retake or re-submit work that has not been awarded a pass grade. You will produce a portfolio of evidence during the course. There will also be a test in health and safety.
