Life Drawing (NCFE

This course will benefit anyone wishing to develop their art practice particularly through observational drawing of the human figure.
You will work with a range of materials and techniques. You will undertake research to help develop your ideas and for inspiration. The tutor will provide feedback to further help your development
Entry RequirementsYou will need to have some experience of drawing preferably to GCSE standard although no formal qualifications are required.
Course Content
This course is divided into 3 units
Unit 01 - Use materials and resources to develop techniques
This unit covers materials and their properties, tools and equipment aswell as craft skills and techniques.
Unit 02 - Develop and adapt creatively. In this unit you really start to develop your own practice and in Unit 03 - you bring your creativity to a final outcome, present it and evaluate it.
How will I be assessed?
Each of the 3 units will be assessed by your course tutor. These marks will then be internally verified and a sample will be externally moderated.
You will produce a portfolio of art work and all evidence will be tracked by yourself and your tutor in a notebook.
You will also complete a Health & Safety assessment matched to the 3 units.
What can I do next?
From this programme you could progress to C&G 7822 Life Drawing.
Alternative progression options will be advised by the tutor.
Additional costs
In addition to course fees you will be required to purchase some materials and a portfolio.
