Course programme

Over 90% of the consumer goods which we buy in the UK are imported. Nearly all the goods in our shops are delivered there by road. This pattern is repeated across much of the EU. It means that the management of this movement of goods, logistics, is a vital part of the economy and is becoming increasingly important. This three-year degree programme is appropriate for those seeking a management career in a wide range of industries and sectors throughout the UK and the EU. In addition to the logistics and haulage sectors, this programme will be relevant to the retail, manufacturing and many public sectors. Broadstairs is a comparatively small campus and has a cosmopolitan and friendly atmosphere. Although most students are from the UK, students from elsewhere in the EU and from overseas find itparticularly attractive. All business programmes at Broadstairs are essentially practical in nature. They are assessed by a range of methods but do not feature formal examinations. Aparticularly innovative feature is the link with local and regional organisations in the final stage of the degree provided by the Problem Orientated Project module.
