The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to:
- Be able to operate machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and accepted good practice
- Use ancillary attachments
- Carry out a pre-shift inspection
- Be able to operate safely under varying site conditions
- Be able to carry out minor adjustments and routine service
- Set stabilisers correctly - have machine stable and level
- Engage/disengage PTO correctly
- Have an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant legislation.
All personnel required to operate a Lorry Loader.

Eligible companies may be able to claim grants toward their Training as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.
Certification
Intermediate Certificate, Scottish Progression Award, CPCS Trained Operator Card, RTITB or Theory & Practical.
