Lorry Mounted Crane (HIAB)

The training can take place using either the customers own equipment or our own Lorry Mounted Crane.

Course Contents
The course consists of theoretical and practical sessions with particular emphasis on hands on experience of vehicle recovery.

1. Precautions and Actions at the Recovery Scene.
2. Health and Safety.
3. Daily Vehicle Checks.
4. Lifting Equipment.
5. Chains.
6. Webbing Strops.
7. Slinging.
8. Vehicle Loading.
9. Vehicle Unloading.
10. Safe stowage of the crane.

Practical
Practical sessions will also be run using the client's equipment or our own equipment covering practical crane usage in a variety of situations and with a variety of loads.

Testing
Continuous assessment will be made of candidates during the practical elements of the training which will lead to the demonstration of competence.
