Autumn Intake
• Diploma in Musical Theatre
• MA in Musical Theatre
MA Validated by the University of East Anglia
Accredited by the National Council for Drama Training
Students pursuing the MA Option in Musical Theatre are taught alongside and follow exactly the same programme as students taking the Diploma Course Option.
MA students, however, undertake an additional Module, Reflection on Practice.
This course reflects the demands of the contemporary professional musical theatre for highly-skilled performers able to combine Acting, Singing, Dance and Movement in their presentation of a seamless journey of character. In the training, therefore, equal emphasis is given to the disciplines of Singin, dance, Movement, Voice and Acting to enable the performer to flow from text to song and dance with no loss of character.
Students also benefit from weekly one-to-one singing lessons and regular one-to-one vocal coaching sessions.
Term Four
The Final term includes a Television Project, Audition Technique, Public Performance and Showcase. MA Option also includes the Dissertation Seminar and performance.
Showcase
In the final term students present a West End Showcase attended by Agents, Casting directors and prominent members of the industry.
