Objectives
The course will aim to develop the delegate''''s competence in a range of practical machining skills to SVQ level 2 and help them acquire associated knowledge in machine terminology.

The course will enable to delegate to build the knowledge and skills required to:

1. Use machines safely

2. Carry out basic conventional turning work utilising suitable techniques on a variety of lathes to produce single and batch components. (4 Weeks)

3. Carry out conventional milling using vertical milling machines to produce complex components. (4 Weeks)

Requirements
Delegates are required to have some previous engineering machining experience.
