About this course

Course Benefits You will have the opportunity to take the Diploma in Journalism run by the National Council for the Training of Journalists alongside your degree.Leeds Trinity won the BBC’s Developing Talent Journalism award twice in three years.Our lecturers are journalists with extensive industry experience.We have excellent industry links.

Typically, our entry offer for this degree course is 112 UCAS tariff points.
Other requirements: For the old GCSE system we require grade C or above and for the new GCSE grading system we will accept grade 4 or higher in English Language.  
 
We welcome students with a wide range of qualifications such as A Levels, BTECs and accredited Access courses.  We treat every application on its own merits; we value highly the experience you illustrate in your personal statement.

Course Information You will also get an understanding of the business context of magazines, law, regulatory and legal issues. Magazines are found in print and online, so we’ll make sure you understand the different demands of format and delivery for each and, as professional experience is essential in today’s job market, we’ll help you develop a portfolio of work throughout your degree which will allow you to showcase your talents to employers. You will get to put your skills to the test in a range of live production projects and you’ll also capitalise on our excellent industry links thanks to professional work placements being embedded as a core part of your course. You will have the opportunity to take the Diploma in Journalism run by the National Council for the Training of Journalists alongside your degree. This will incur an additional cost.
