About the course
Do you work as a maintenance engineer or installation engineer? You can gain recognition of your competence with a level 3 NVQ in Maintenance Engineering at City College Plymouth. All assessment is undertaken in your workplace and is flexible to suit the needs of you and your employer. Your work situation will need to provide the opportunity to be involved in a range of engineering maintenance and installation activities. When you start this qualification, you will choose to follow one of the following pathways: mechanical, electrical, electronic, fluid power, engineered systems, services maintenance, lift servicing, lift repair, escalator repair and service, communication electronics, stair lifts, servicing medical equipment or instrumentation and control.
