Course programme

As well as achieving a nationally recognised qualification in make up artistry you will also develop skills and achieve qualifications in English, Maths and Customer Care.

Training will take place in our well equipped, modern make up studio, with instruction from our team of highly skilled, qualified and supportive tutors. This course has strong links with the make up industry and there are regular workshops delivered by practising hair and make up artists who are currently working within the industry.

You will be taught through a combination of classroom and studio activities and will complete written and practical work. You will learn practical skills by working on your classmates, before moving on to work on models taking part in various shows and events. The photographic make up unit is taught in conjunction with the photography students at the college, and you will gain real life experience in working towards a photographers brief, as well as receiving professional photographs to add to your portfolio.

You will be required to purchase a kit and uniform, details of which will be provided at interview.
