You will learn how to cut a pattern, sew a garment together, put in a zip and work a button hole. You will also learn how to fit the garment and modify the pattern
The course is intended for anyone who wishes to increase their sewing knowledge and gain the skills needed to make a garment at this level

Course programme
This is a 4 day class showing you how to make a mid century 1760's style man's coat, with moderately full skirts using period hand sewing and fitting techniques
We will also discuss fabrics suitable for the period and the uses of them
We provide fabric for toiles and interlinings where needed, but not top fabrics, which you will need to bring with you, we will give you advice on what to use on booking
This class isn't for beginners and knowledge of basic sewing and using patterns is required.
You will get to keep your toiles so you can make more at home later.
