Makeup for TV & Film (TVFM) This course is designed to train students to the highest level of practical education and is aimed at students who wish to specialise and work within the TV Film & Theatrical industries. You will receive thorough training and advanced practical skills & knowledge in the following area:

• Reference, research, design & makeup plan
• TV & Film makeup application
• Straight corrective men's makeup - bald cap & eyebrow block-out
• Straight corrective women makeup, including children's presenter & children's makeup
• Period drama looks & aging
• Basic SFX - cuts - bruises - grazes
• Classic looks
• Glamorous looks
• Black & White makeup
• Working from a script
• Lighting & background makeup effects
• Styling, accessories & wardrobe
• Portfolio building
• Students design a total look - storyboard - makeup plan & short script
• Professional & business practice
• Total Look Practical exam with photo shoot

This is a 17 day p/t program for students who wish to work or gather practical skills and knowledge for the following industry areas:

• TV
• Film
• Independent Business

• Period Wigs & Hair

Fees & Information
The modules in this course section can be taken separately or as a complete program. They can also be mixed and matched with other course modules in different areas or, related modules i.e. Period Wigs & Hair etc... The choice is yours.
These course paths open a series of opportunities for the student. These are:

• A Blazing Sables & Waltham Forest College Certificate of Attendance
• Possible work experience whilst training (for those with high skills)
• Blazing Sables Agency placement. Only available to the most outstanding students
• During & after graduation help, support and advice

Module: Fee £1,250
Student Kits
To keep our fees low and at a very competitive rate, we do not include a student kit, products, tools and equipment in our fees. By doing it this way allows students to add to their basic required kit as they go along, using products they prefer. Also, all students must have their own kits to practise with while away from the college. Some products will be available for use on the course but you are required to purchase these products & items to add to your own personal kit.
Blazing Sables have prepared a list of makeup kits, products & tools required for each of the courses that a student intends to cover. Many of the makeup kits are Kryolan based and have been personally designed by us in association with our sponsors Charles Fox of Covent Garden London. We have secured an arrangement with Charles Fox for our students to receive an instant 10% discount and some freebees which are already added into the kit.

Start dates: Regularly throughout the year for all modules
Days: Saturday or Sunday
Evenings: To be confirmed
Day times: 10am - 4pm
Evening times: 6pm - 9pm
Length of course: 17 days
These course modules are run every Saturday or Sunday plus 2 evenings per week, totalling 12 hours per week for the time of your course
