Mammals of the Old Quarry: Exploring their Relationship with Woodland
MAMMALS OF THE OLD QUARRY: EXPLORING THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH WOODLAND

Inspect the woodlands for mammal signs, learning about different behaviours, and the way mammals use their environment. Check mammal traps and identify the occupants. A range of survey techniques will be demonstrated.

Kate Williamson of the Snowdonia National Park will talk about mammals in the park and describe the behaviour and characteristics of our native wild animals.

Jack Grasse, a dormouse expert, will guide you through a nearby wood, giving a rare opportunity to check boxes for the elusive dormouse.

The course begins at 11am and finishes at 4pm, with a break for lunch at 1pm. Please bring a note book, weatherproof clothes and sturdy footwear.
