Course programme
BSc Management
Management is concerned with planning, organising, leading and controlling human activity in the context of all organisations, whether private or public sector, large or small, new or existing. A central task is to establish appropriate objectives and optimise the deployment of human, financial and physical resources available to the organisation in order to meet these objectives.
The study of Management differs from Business Studies in that it is concerned with the successful operation of all types of organisations, whereas business studies focuses primarily on the performance of commercial concerns operated to make profits.
This programme will provide you with a broad introduction to the principles and practice of management. You will develop an understanding of key management functions and have an opportunity to apply core management skills such as problem solving, teamwork, communication, numeracy and self-management. The programme adopts a behavioural approach to management, with an emphasis on qualitative aspects.
