Management of Disruptive Passengers & Restraint

 

This course has been specifically developed as an add-on to our Cabin Crew Course. In recent years Disruptive Passenger Incidents have increased on aircraft for a number of reasons. It is vital that Cabin Crew can deal with these incidents and bring them to a positive outcome so that the safety of other passengers, crew and the aircraft are not jeopardised.

This full day course will give you the skills in order to deal with such incidents. Although the course is designed for those seeking a career as a member of cabin crew it is also targeted at those that have to deal with disruptive members of the public within the Customer Services Industry.

Criteria covered includes:

 - Legislation regarding disruptive passengers
 - Disruptive incidents at work and understanding yourself
 - How to deal with stress and fear within the work place
 - Behaviour
 - Communication skills
 - De-escalation skills
 - Use of Force and the law
 - Practical body holds used for restraining
 - How to avoid positional asphyxia

This course is a mix of training delivery through lecture, group discussion and practical work ensuring that you get the most of the programme.  Combined with certification on successful completion, you will definitely be on the right track to getting yourself noticed and securing your ideal job in the Aviation Industry. (It is recommended that candidates wear casual clothes including flat shoes with no jewellery due to the practical nature of this course.)

 Course Start Dates:

These courses are operated three times a year, January, May  & September. The course is one day and will commence at 09.30 until 15.30.

Minimum Age: 16

Resource Requirements: Notepad and pen etc.
