The managing change module is structured to provide you with a holistic understanding of the principles and practices of change management in healthcare environments. The module provides a fundamental knowledge of the theoretical concepts and models underpinning change management. Equipped with this, you will be encouraged to critically evaluate and apply these concepts to a range of health services settings at strategic, organisational and individual levels.On completion of the module, you will have acquired a broad knowledge base that allows you to understand, participate in and manage change in healthcare organisations.The module aims to:Help you to understand and critically evaluate the motives and drivers on which organisational change is predicatedEquip you with an overview and understanding of the theories and concepts which are the basis of successful management of organisational changeAllow you to think reflectively about your own ability to tolerate and manage changeEnable you to critical evaluate espoused theories and models and thereafter to construct change strategies within the limitations of such theories and modelsAllow you to reconcile the hard pragmatics of change with the softer human skills required for successful and sustainable change...........................................................................................................................................................................This is a Nursing Studies top-up degree programme module. The managing change module is structured to provide you with a holistic understanding of the principles and practices of change management in healthcare environments. The module provides a fundamental knowledge of the theoretical concepts and models underpinning change management. Equipped with this, you will be encouraged to critically evaluate and apply these concepts to a range of health services settings at strategic, organisational and individual levels.
On completion of the module, you will have acquired a broad knowledge base that allows you to understand, participate in and manage change in healthcare organisations.

Entry requirements for BSc Health Sciences (online) programme:
- 120 Level 4 credit points and 120 Level 5 credit points in healthcare related subjects
Entry requirements for study as a stand-alone module:
- Current registration with a professional and regulatory body (healthcare)
For those students whose first language is not English one of the following qualifications is also required:
- IELTS: 7.0
Please note that due to changes in the UKVI's list of SELTs we are no longer able to accept TOEFL as evidence of English language for students who require a CAS as of April 2014.
