  • understand the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees
  • recognise manual handling hazards and risks in the workplace
  • identify strategies to manage hazards and risks in the workplace
  • plan safe manual handling tasks
  • apply knowledge in a two hour practical manual handling workshop.
