About this course

The course is suitable for participants from a wide range of backgrounds. Health and safety management experience as well as training qualifications are useful but are not a pre-requisite as participants will be trained in both the technical and the training related issues

Course programme

This two day city & guilds accredited manual handling train the trainer qualification is a practical and interactive course. It provides everything required by a manual handling instructor to run your own manual handling training sessions.

The course is ideal for a wide range of trainers, from those with limited knowledge of manual handling, training and health & safety through to those who are already conducting handler training but want some fresh ideas and techniques to integrate into their programmes &/or want a refresher course. All groups will benefit from the confidence generated in their abilities by achieving city & guilds certification.

Participants receive a unique manual handling instructor's pack with everything required for running manual handling training sessions. As well as a comprehensive course manual with the technical information, participants receive a cd containing suggested programmes for running 1. 5 to 3 hour training sessions, hard copies of lesson plans and useful extras such as test and assessment sheets. Please note, the course focuses on the safe handling of materials and goods (rather than people).
