Manual Handling Train the Trainer

The course consists of three days intensive training teaching the delegate to teach the manual handling subject. The course will consist of the following modules but the client can request a specific module on their own requirements.

• Introduction to Training concepts, how to set up a training session
• Planning a practical training session: subject 'something you know'
• Gaining student's interest
• Continuous assessment, including Q&A, Practical demonstration
• Using tools of the trade, video, PowerPoint, chalk and talk, flip charts, OHP
• Creating resources, video, slides, handouts, models
• Outcomes, syllabus, training needs analysis Assessment methods, oral, written, practical
• Dealing with special needs, equal opportunities & bad behaviour
• The subject matter for the type of training i.e. manual handling

As part of our comprehensive training package you will be provided with the teaching resources to deliver a course straight away, this includes PowerPoint slides, manual, course syllabus and programme. There is an update facility which will be sent to you as appropriate. You can adapt the course materials for your own purposes.

Is the course is certificated?

Yes and it can be linked to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health's PTLLS Certificate. If you do not hold a formal Manual certificate following successful examination you will be awarded the CIEH Principles of Manual Handling certificate.
