Manual Lymphatic Drainage Body Certificate
This module is aimed at therapists working within a Spa, Body Clinic,
or hoping to work within a Hospice or Health Care Provision, working under
the supervision of the Lymphoedema Team. It is designed for therapists
wishing to expand their body therapy programme. Manual Lymphatic Drainage
is a highly effective fluid management and cellulite therapy. This course
qualifies you for 10 CPPD points, equating to one year's allocation.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage offers the therapist a powerful therapeutic
principle that has been recognised through the ages, and is currently
enjoying a revival. The techniques home in on to a specific element within
massage therapy, centring the effects upon lymphatic drainage. Movements
are via a combination of effleurage and light compression within a
rhythmical routine . When applied correctly the client becomes very
relaxed and a palpable change within the skin can be initiated.
Duration
of course - 3 days. Two days of intensive tuition, followed by a
consolidation break. The final, assessment day is booked whilst on the
course to suit your requirements.
Entry Requirements
Candidates
need to hold any recognised beauty or holistic qualification that
encompassed business, health and safety, anatomy and physiology.
Candidates do not need to hold a massage qualification, as all relevant
techniques are covered on the course.
Candidates will need
to bring
Salon overalls, pen and paper.
All tools,
preparations, equipment and a comprehensive training manual will be
provided, however candidates will need their own resources for completion
of their case studies.
