Description of the Course
The course is designed to build on the skills and knowledge learned in Manual Payroll Level 2 to provide individuals with a knowledge of more complex issuesusing the HM Revenue & Customs Employer CD-ROM.
Course content
The course will include:

· Understand key organisational procedures
· Process exceptional and further additional payments
· Make termination payments
· Administer pension deduction
· Calculate Directors National Insurance contributions
· Perform end of month procedures
· Process benefits in kind and expenses
· Perform end of year procedures
· Prepare payroll related management reports
· Understand confidentiality, security and other statutory legislation

Assessment
External examination.
Who is the course for?
The course is designed to meet the needs of individuals in payroll employment who wish to further improve their skills and knowledge and gain a further qualification in payroll and for those who have payroll processing knowledge and wish to perform advanced and non-routine tasks.
Entry requirements
Numeracy and Literacy at Level 2 and IAB Manual Payroll Level 2 or equivalents.
What can I do after this course?
Learners can progress to IAB Diploma in Computerised Payroll Level 3
