Content
There are various pathways which trainees can follow depending on business needs ranging from installation and fitting mechanical and electrical components associated with the boat building or carrying out service and repair. Other specialist training can be arranged on request.

This training will develop practical skills required for candidates to demonstrate a level of competence and be assessed to meet National Standards at NVQ level 3.

The Technical Certificates will provide the underpinning knowledge to support the candidates training and development in associated subjects according to their specialist areas.

Assessment
Candidates will be assessed through the use of examinations, practical and theory assignments. Assessment within the workplace will be required to complete the selected NVQ 2 qualification

Progression
Once complete candidates can progress onto a HNC/D in Engineering.

  • Foundation training _ Eight units from the NVQ Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations
  • Technical Certificate - An appropriate Level award such as the, ,( Btec National Award in Mechanical or Electrical Electronic Engineering or a Certificate in Engineering Maintenance Principles)
