Course content
The aim of this qualification is to provide the knowledge, skills and â€-ability to do†that a typical Marketing Manager would need. The qualification is a hybrid of marketing with a considerable emphasis on management as marketers move from specialist aspects of marketing into either a functional or department role.
The course is suitable for marketers with operational responsibilities and an eye on management [including department managers, functional managers, account managers and business development managers.]
Students will study the following four subjects:
- The Marketing Planning Process
- Delivering Customer Value through Marketing
- Managing Marketing
- Project Management in Marketing
The modules focus on providing insights into the key aspects of managing marketing functions as well as recognising various departmental opportunities such as channel management, communications, customers and new product development.
Assessment
One exam and three assignments
Cost
£685 [CIM membership [£160] and administration of assessment [£300] payable direct to the Chartered Institute of Marketing.]
Duration
The course is taught over 3.5 hours a week for 32 weeks [Tuesday evening.]
