The Master of Medicine (Sleep Medicine) is designed for professionals already working in the area of sleep medicine, or for graduates wishing to embark on a career in the field. The course offers you a unique opportunity to gain a deeper insight into this rapidly growing discipline of sleep medicine. This course is taught in an online/distance mode.



The masters degrees builds on concepts learned during the graduate diploma, with 3 extra units of study which focus on research skills and practical components of sleep medicine. There is also an elective unit where you can choose between an adult or paediatric focus.

Graduate opportunities

The course provides advanced postgraduate training for students who intend to pursue a career within the general field of sleep medicine, or for professionals already working in the area of sleep medicine.

Further study

After completing at least 24 credit points of study with an average weighted mark of at least 75%, students are able to upgrade to the Master of Medicine (Advanced)(Sleep Medicine).

Outstanding graduates may be eligible to pursue a higher degree by research in the courses of Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy. A research degree provides students with the opportunity to prepare a substantial piece of work which represents a significant contribution in a particular field of study; and to gain transferable skills in general research methodology.

Admission requirements
