Course programme
From 2015 ALL core courses in the Public Health Specialisation will be available to undertake online or face to face.
Courses in the Translational Health Sciences Specialisation are only available in online mode.
Public Health specialisation Areas of study include: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Indigenous Health, Health Economics, Health Policy, Public Health Interventions and Qualitative Research Methods in Health.
Students are required to complete the following: 8 core courses AND 7 electives AND a major project or6 core courses AND 6 electives AND a dissertation or6 core courses AND 2 electives AND a thesis.
Translational Health Sciences specialisation Areas of study include: Translational Health Science, Qualitative and Quantitative Evidence Synthesis, and Knowledge Translation as well as core public health courses in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Indigenous Health, Health Economics, Health Technology Assessment, Health Policy, Public Health Interventions and Qualitative Research Methods in Health.
Students are required to complete the following: 10 core courses (including a major workplace based evidence implementation project)AND 2 electives All students who have not completed significant studies in public health as part of their undergraduate degree, or have equivalent experience, are encouraged to complete ‘Foundations of Public Health,’ which will be offered in the Summer Semester (early February).
