You will need determination and commitment as maths is a demanding subject with a high workload.
How will I be assessed?
Your can track your progress by your achievement in the weekly homework tasks and the regular progress tests. Each module is assessed by an examination. Each exam consists of one calculator paper and one non-calculator paper. You will find further details of the exams in the student handbook which accompanies the course. There is no coursework associated with this course.
What can I do afterwards?
Maths GCSE is a valued qualification, required by many employers and universities.
Are there any additional costs involved?
A scientific calculator is essential. Your teacher can advise on a suitable model when you arrive. You will also require a protractor, compasses and a ruler.
