About this course
Students under 21 must have a grade D in GCSE Maths. Students without this minimum requirement will be admitted to a two year course. Mature students (over 21)without GCSE's may offer alternative qualifications or take an entry test

What will I learn?
There are four subject areas:- Number, Algebra, Shape, Space and Measure and handling Data. Lectures will include working from text books, past papers, indivdually or in groups. Homework will be set on a regular basis.
How will I be assessed?
Ther are two written papers taken in June which make up 80 of the examination. The remaining 20 is a terminal paper, again taken in June. One of the written papers is taken without the use of a calculator.
What can I do after the course?
GCSE Maths (Grade A*,A,B or C) is a requirement for many jobs. It is essential for entry into teaching and for many Higher and Further Education courses.
