To be able to use non-pain related standing holding and escorting techniques, incuding non-restrictive skills. To be able to understand good practice to follow after Physical Interventions. Suitable for: These course are particularly useful to the Close Protection Operative and Door Supervisor, but remain relevant to any frontline worker facing potentially violent confrontation.

Armatus Risks delivers the Physical Intervention course to those throughout the private security industry. Courses are delivered all delivered to the Maybo and Institute of conflict Management standards and are developed from real confrontational situations in the professional workplace.

People working in the private security industry sometimes find themselves in a position where they need to use physyical intervention skills. Learners will be taught about the different types and definitions of physical intervention as well as the legal implications of its use and why it is important to use only as a last resort.
Learners will learn about how to reduce the risks when physical intervention is used, including dynamic risk assessments, risk factors and responsibilities following a physical intervention.
Learners will also learn about good practice to follow after a physical intervention. Learners will develop practical skills to protect against assault including stance and positioning disengagement and how to seperate people who are fighting.Learners will also learn how to hold and escort using restrictive and non-restrictive methods.
