MBA in General Management

Accredited Austrian MBA degree programme - delivered long-distance:  
 
Courses: Modular structure of 16 modules

Level 1: Basic study courses - 30 ECTS credits: 5 modules at 6 ECTS credits each 

Level 2: Advanced study courses - 60 ECTS credits: 10 modules at 6 ECTS credits each

Level 3:  Executive study courses - 30 ECTS credits: 1 module + Master Thesis

Total: 120 ECTS credits / 4 semesters / 900 lecturing units   
 
Method of Instruction and examination: All lectures are filmed and coursebooks to each lecture are provided. All study materials are shipped to the student either on DVDs or a harddrive. Students learn independently at their own pace and at home. Students contact the study department via their student webmail when they want to be tested. The student will receive instructions for tutor or computer marked assignments. Failed tests can be retried twice. 
 
Examinations: Tutor Marked Assignments or Computer Marked Assignments. Austrian standards for university examinations are applied.  Final Examination of Master Thesis by Examination Board. The successful completion of the MBA programme requires the positive examinations of the modules of the programmes and the Master Thesis.
 
Degree awarded: After successful completion of the final examination the student will be awarded the academic higher degree "Master of Business Administration (MBA)" accredited by Federal Austrian Law (35. MBA-Verordnung)

is accredited and recognised by Federal Austrian Law Gazette - Regulation by the Minister of Education, Science and Culture, BGBl. II Nr. 431/2005.  
 
Courses can be started anytime, enrollment is possible all year.  
 
CREDITS & TRANSFER We apply the ECTS European Credit Transfer System for all our courses and degree programmes.  
 
All degrees are issued along with the Transcript of Records and the Diploma Supplement in accordance with ECTS-regulations.  
 
Our MBA degree requires 16 Modules at 6 credits each plus a Master Thesis in order to earn a total of 120 ECTS credits.  
 
The credits requirements are determined, based on the student´s prior earned credits, by the study department when agreeing on the study plan (Learning Agreement), in which the transfer credits are accepted and the modules of additionally required course-exams are listed.  
 
Six (6) ECTS credits correspond with 45 lecturing-units.    
 
The student selects the courses applicable for the modules and earns credits through tutor-marked or computer-marked long-distance exams. Grades are awarded in line with the Austrian higher education grading system.  
 
The Master-Thesis is evaluated by experienced and qualified professors or lecturers in the given study area or subject chosen, in accordance with the criteria of the applicable evaluation standards.   
 
There are no additional fees for admission, evaluation of prior learning, preliminary assessment of credits acceptable for transfer, and the transfer of credits.
