It examines technology and its potential from the perspective of those managing technical staff, rather than the technical staff themselves. You gain a strategic perspective in using information, organisational knowledge, and information technologies. Suitable for: Minimum requirements are. a good honours degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant discipline. three years of relevant work experience, preferably in a management position. You also need. a good background knowledge of issues that arise in managing organisations and the desire to take that knowledge and understanding further. significant managerial experience to ensure that concepts and techniques can be related to practical experience.

These managers have to be able to work with, and between, business and IT specialists. They must shape information and knowledge strategies, and provide the leadership to make and carry out information policies.

We use Microsoft Dynamics as the main technology solution to underpin our course. It is a suite of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management solutions. You receive training on one of the Microsoft Dynamics enterprise resource planning products.
When you have successfully completed the first four modules, we can help you to arrange employment opportunities with Microsoft partners. If you secure a placement, you can continue your studies for the employer as a distance learning student.

During the taught part of the course, you take two pieces of training on Microsoft DynamicsT applications.
Semester three
· possibility of a placement with a Microsoft Partner · dissertation
During the PgCert and PgDip stages, you study full-time at Sheffield Hallam University.
You can then study by distance learning while working, or complete the MBA full or part-time.
