Our MBA programme is purposely structured to allow you to work closely with your fellow students, allowing you to explore and develop your teamwork and leadership capabilities. It is important to understand that the workload is very intensive and demanding, and that we have high expectations of all our students.
The programme is challenging and contemporary and contains sixteen compulsory courses. These compulsory courses include twelve 'core' courses including a dissertation and business consultancy project, and four elective courses.
Career planning and development forms an integral part of the Royal Holloway MBA. The Personal Development Programme is an important feature of the Royal Holloway MBA. The programme is fully integrated into the core MBA curriculum and runs throughout the entire academic year, ensuring that students have continual access to individual careers coaching, up-to-date job market information, corporate speaker sessions and skills workshops. The MBA Personal Development Portfolio is designed to build on the management skills you already have. The module incorporates training in presentation skills, CV writing, interview technique, negotiation, leadership, handling conflict and dealing with the media.
Our MBA Corporate Speakers are business leaders from a wide range of sectors. Previous speakers have come from: HSBC, Nomura, Xerox, Microsoft, DHL, Continental, Reuters, Capital One and Cap Gemini.
The MBA Careers Adviser is available throughout the year for individual careers coaching. Sessions take place at regular hours during the week, and students are free to book as many sessions as they require.
The MBA Mentoring Programme puts MBA students in touch with members of the local business community, who share their expertise and insight over the course of the year. This programme is ideal for students considering a career change or wishing to fully understand UK business culture.
