Course Description

Our approach

The main focus of the MBA programme at Doncaster Business School is to use â€-Action Learning†techniques to develop managers who can apply the knowledge they have acquired to meet strategic needs of private or public sector organisations. The Part Time MBA programme consists of two stages:

Year 1: Postgraduate Certificate is targeted at experienced middle and senior managers.

Year 2: Masters Business Administration (MBA) is targeted at experienced managers who have completed the postgraduate diploma or equivalent.

Action learning dissertation

Assessment

There are no examinations and a variety of innovative assessment methods are planned to complement traditional assignments and work based projects/dissertation.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to have one of the following qualifications prior to commencement of the programme:
  • An undergraduate degree awarded by an approved degree awarding body.
  • A non-graduate qualification to be of a satisfactory standard for the purpose of postgraduate admission.
  • A non-graduate who has held for a minimum of two years, a responsible position which is relevant to the programme.


Direct entry to Year 2 is possible ifapplicants possess either:
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, or
  • An Executive Diploma in Management awarded by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)


All applicants will be interviewed by the Business School and approved by the University of Wales prior to being accepted on to the programme.
